How to get to the congress venue
Bucharest's public transport system is the largest in Romania and one of the largest in Europe. Navigating Bucharest by public transport is very easy, as the Romanian capital is served by a modern underground, a vast bus network , trolleybuses and trams. In addition, there is a private minibus system. Uber and Taxis are inexpensive compared to other European capitals.
Piaţa Crângaşi (or just Crângaşi if you use underground) is the name of the station closest to the Congres Venue.

Currency and credit-cards
The currency in Romania is LEI (RON).
1 EURO is currently worth about 5 LEI (RON) – available on December 2021.
Major credit cards are accepted by most hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, and shops.
Official language
English is the official language of the 41 UMEMPS Congress.
The lectures of the 1st Conference - Updates in Pediatrics, will be presented in Romanian language but, with presentation slides displayed in English.
No simultaneous translations will be provided.

Certificate of attendance
All register delegates are entitled to a certificate of attendance.
CME accreditation
Participating delegates will receive a Certificate with CME Credits based on their personal attendance to the sessions.
The event is credited by the Romanian College of Physicians with 18 EMC credits.
Certificates of attendance will be available in your user profile starting October 8th, 2022.
Climate and clothing
Romania has a moderate, continental climate. The average temperature in September is between 18-25°C. Although rainy and windy days may occur, appropriate clothing is recommended.
Passports & Visa requirements
For residents of the EU Member States and USA no visa is required. Residents of other countries, please contact the Embassy/Consulate of Romania in your country to get information about visa requirements. The organising Secretariat is not responsible for obtaining visas and does not provide financial support letter but, it can provide a confirmation of your registration to the congress, on request.
Liability and insurance
Delegates and exhibitors are advised to take out insurance with adequate coverage against any risk of loss or damage to property, personal injury, illness, etc. before traveling to the event. Neither the organizers nor its contractors assume responsibility for personal injury, illness, or loss/damage to the property of delegates and exhibitors during the event.
The organizers do not accept any responsibility in case the congress has to be canceled, postponed, or altered in case of force majeure or as a result of temporary restrictions imposed by the local authorities (such as restrictions imposed by the pandemic of COVID 19). In this case, every effort will be made to present the program as close as possible to the preliminary version presented on the website, but the Organizers reserve the right to modify, move online or even cancel, without prior notice, any of the arrangements, schedule or plans that directly or indirectly related to the event or exhibition, for any reason beyond its reasonable control.
The organizers are not responsible for any loss or inconvenience caused as a result of such changes and do not cover any losses (cancellation/rescheduling of flights, accommodation, or any other losses). Participants and exhibitors are advised to consider purchasing their own travel insurance to protect themselves against such unforeseen losses.
Registration
The participants are required to make their online registration.
Participant’s fee includes: Admission to scientific sessions - Access to exhibit and poster area - Congress Kit, Coffee breaks - Certificate of attendance – 1 Opening Cocktail ticket
Payment of registration fees can be made online on our secure server by credit card (MasterCard and VISA) or by bank transfer. Full details, will be provided within the email received after the registration form procedure will be complete. Your registration will only be validated when full payment is received. 19% VAT will be added to all costs according to the EU regulations.
Registration packages
Registration packages for groups (10 persons or more) can be tailored with the Congress Secretariat.
Cancellation policy
In case of cancellation, it is expected a refund of:
- 50% of the total amount for cancellations received by July 31, 2022
- No reimbursement after August 1st, 2022.
Substitutions / Name changes
Each name change will be charged of € 40.00 + 19%VAT.
Badges
You will not be permitted to enter the congress building without your badges.
Abstract Submission
The Scientific Committee invites authors to submit their abstracts for consideration and inclusion in the program. Abstracts should contain new information and not have been presented before.
